What happens when Creatives experiment within the develop(mental) parameters “When the familiar becomes strange? And audiences become participants and creators? The ancient Greek theory that philosophical atoms come in an infinite variety of shapes and sizes, each indestructible, immutable and surrounded by a void where they collide together or hook to form a cluster, will be the provocation for artists by invitation and EOI to create a suite of 6 experimental and interactive unusual performances taking place in usual places at very unusual times

Cost: Buy tokens for art in a can $5, $10 $20 or $30 with some cans with a golden ticket of art valued over $150 from our vending machine attendants!

Two vending machines carrying a belly full of art have landed in our CBD. Pop experimental art at its best. - make art, buy art, enjoy!!

How does it work as a CANNED ART CREATIVE!??

Attended CANNED ART vending machines will disperse curated art throughout the Lismore CBD to the value of $5, $10, $20. $30. $50 during our festival days

You Create Art and send/register your art with us, together with a blurb of who you are/ contact details etc that we can print and put in your cans ( that we have) because we want to promote you and the fabulous work you do!! We can your art and people buy a token for CANNED ART that they can use immediately, give to a friend or use on a later day of the festival

Art Specifications: Must fit into a 355ml soft drink can

Register your initial interest on our official EOI form, with links to your CANNED ART idea or send us an email with examples of your ideas to unusual@realartworks.org by Friday 18th October 2019.

We will contact you as part of our curatorial process by Friday 25th of October 2019 and if successful, send you a CANNED ART registration form.

What then?

You send/ meet up with us to deliver your art for the project at your cost

What happens at the end of the festival?

The beauty of CANNED ART is that canned art will be sold by punters luck. At the end of the festival, we will send you the value of your art sold -(we don't charge commission) or send you back unsold artwork which will be at our cost.

Yes, it is "unusual", but that's the way we roll in Lismore.
